Filmfabriek is excited to announce a brand new, small, high quality, affordable 8mm frame-by-frame film scanner, the Filmfabriek Pictor.

Since our start, 10 years ago, Filmfabriek offers multi-format high-end frame-by-frame film scanners at competitive prices. Our HDS 4K+ film scanner is used by archives and studios worldwide, to digitize their valuable archival film collections.

High-end Filmfabriek solution available in small scanner – Filmfabriek Pictor
Now, our high-end solution is available in a new small 8mm film scanner! The Filmfabriek Pictor can handle all 8mm and s8mm material, both archival and fresh films. Because it profits from the same high-quality exposure solution as its bigger family member, the HDS+ film scanner, both reversal and negative film stock can be digitized at the best quality. The Pictor is the world’s first 8mm film scanner equipped with a wetgate!

Both image and synced sound will be captured with the new Filmfabriek Pictor scanner. The Pictor sound module has active wow and flutter correction. Scanning speeds are up to 25 fps. With resolutions up to 1920×1080.

The introduction price for the scanner is € 9.995 for the first 20 models sold. Our first edition model will come fully installed with the sound module for free! The regular price for the Pictor with sound will be € 12.495,00. The offer is limited to max 3 units per customer.

We will demonstrate our Pictor at IBC 2019. You can drop by and see the 8mm scanner in real-life action. Next to the Pictor scanner, we will also demonstrate our HDS 4K+ scanner.
